We are excited to "introduce" Sarah Wheeler- the new FHS Instrumental Music teacher. We feel SO lucky she is able to join us!
Over the past 16 years, Sarah has been employed as a full-time music teacher within the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts in the public, private, and vocational school settings. Throughout Sarah’s various teaching assignments, She has taught: grades 4-12 concert band ensembles, grades 6-12 jazz ensembles, grades 4-8 orchestra/strings ensembles, music theory 1 & 2, history of American popular music, guitar 1 & 2, and music technology.
Sarah also has experience conducting pit orchestra for musical theater at the high school and community theater levels.
Sarah holds a Master's Degree in Music Education from Boston University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in Music Composition, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in Music Education both from the University of Rhode Island.
She also holds an initial license for Supervisor/Director in the area of the Arts for the state of Massachusetts.
